About 

Emily Conner is the Master Teacher at the University of Wyoming Art Museum. Emily comes to Wyoming from Baltimore, Maryland, where she spent five years designing and facilitating learning and art-making experiences for learners of all ages. Her prior experience includes teaching both elementary and middle school art, and working with The American Visionary Art Museum, Charm City Cakes, The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Greater Chesapeake. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in K-12 Art Education from Shepherd University and a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program

 

When she is not teaching, you will find Emily hiking with her dog, roller skating, swing dancing, in an improv comedy scene, or sketching up an idea for a new comic. As a new member of the staff, she looks forward to immersing herself in the community at UW and exploring all the beauty Wyoming has to offer.

 

Emily is committed to the continued advocacy for arts education, as it teaches critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving through divergent thinking - all skills imperative for advancing forward in an increasingly complex and ever-changing world.
