Reproduction Requests

The Art Museum is continuing to add new images to the digital archives of the collection - view online here. Images of many objects are available for reference use and some formats are available for reproduction. Please complete and sign a release form and submit to the Curator of Collections by email at curator@uwyo.edu. Please plan for a response within two weeks.

Copyright for some images is maintained by artists or their estates. In such cases, it is the requesting party’s responsibility to acquire permission for reproduction directly from the artists or their representatives as well as any required fees for use of the copyrighted materials. Users are held fully responsible for any infringement of copyright.

Research Requests

If you have questions about specific artists or artwork in the permanent collection, please fill out the Research Request Form and a member of the curatorial staff will respond to your inquiry within two weeks. If you need assistance with how to research an artist or artwork that is not in the Art Museum collection, finding an appraiser or conservator, please fill out the Research Request Form, and a member of the Art Museum staff will be able to provide you with a reference list. Please note that the UW Art Museum is unable to provide appraisals, conservation assistance, or critiques of artwork.
