Teen Apprenticeship

Teens apprentices become part of the Art Museum’s education team. They are trained to work alongside artists and teachers in Shelton Studio classes and assist with art activities, lesson plans and studio set up and organization. If selected, the teen must commit to working at least 30 hours at the museum. This can include attending trainings, helping organize the Shelton Studio, assisting with children’s classes, volunteering at Spring Break Art Camp or a variety of other projects. Apprentices who fully complete the program have the opportunity to spend 20 hours working in the Shelton Studio on an approved art project of their choice. Materials and supplies are provided by the art museum.
