Educational Experiences

K-12 School Experiences

Schools from all over Wyoming and neighboring states can bring their classes to the Art Museum to experience the world of art. We require at least two weeks advanced notice for scheduling purposes. Each experience uses our inquiry model – observe, question, explore, create, and reflect – as the basis for interdisciplinary learning. These are highly individualized, to address standards and curriculum needs for specific classrooms, disciplines and teachers. The ideal experience is 90 minutes and includes deep looking activities in our galleries and making activities in our Museum Studio. Available during museum hours September through July each year. After submitting the request form you will be contacted by the Curator of Education or Master Teacher for a customized planning session to help you meet your curricular goals.

Afterschool and Extracurricular Groups

Organizations like school art clubs, Boy and Girl Scouts, 4H, and Big Brothers Big Sisters are encouraged to contact to schedule extracurricular tours and art experiences. Modeled after our school tours, these programs can address concepts and skill acquisition that help participants meet badge requirements and other competencies.
