Summer Art Camps I and II

Students who are curious about the creative process and using artistic materials to convey ideas will enjoy two Summer Art Camp options, depending on age. Sessions are held annually in June from 1 pm – 4:45pm at the Art Museum and cost $60 for 5 days. Session I is for ages 6 – 10 and Session II is for ages 11 – 15. Each day participants will engage with museum exhibitions and collections that become the focus of artistic inquiry. Deep looking activities and creative writing activities often accompany art making in a variety of media like painting, printmaking and sculpture to name a few. Healthy snacks are provided.

Summer Art Camp sessions occured June 5-9, 2017 and June 12-16, 2017. Check back next year (2018) to register for UW Art Museum's Summer Art Camps.

Bug Boot Camp 2.0

This partnership with the UW Biodiversity Institute is venturing into its second year. Started in 2016 in response to the Ballengée Project at the Art Museum and in the Laramie Community, this camp was offered to first through six grade students as a means to investigate and explore the natural world surrounding us. Each day of this five day camp integrated art and science explorations and creations. A final day included a performance and reception for families and care givers.

Bug Boot Camp 2.0 occured July 17-21, 2017. Check back next year (2018) to register for Bug Boot Camp.
