Michell Anderson,
Sr. Coordinator, College Student Advising, joined the Dean's Office in
August 2010.
Her responsibilities include:
- Coordinating advising and related activities in the College and
addressing concerns of students and faculty.
·
Liaison to UW Student Affairs units such as the Office of the
Registrar, Center for Advising and Career Services, Admissions, and others
involved with students’ academic matters.
- Evaluating and acting on requests for exceptions to University and College rules, regulations, and requirements.
- Organizing and managing academic information for faculty,
students and staff.
- College undergraduate recruitment initiatives.
Sharon Brown, Staff Assistant, has been with the Dean's Office since 2000 and with UW since 1984.
Her main responsibilities to the college are:
- Maintain Dean's daily schedule
- Coordinate/support monthly Heads meetings, monthly Teaching Committee meeting and bi-weekly Central Committee meeting, weekly Cabinet meeting, and spring and fall faculty meeting
- Serve as UW's Liaison with EvaluationKIT software company for on-line course evaluations and on-line advisor evaluations
- Administrate the College on-line Teaching Evaluations and Advising Evaluations
- Coordinate Fall and Spring commencement
- Plan/coordinate New Faculty Orientation, New Heads Orientation, and Heads Retreat
Sandra (Sam) Kerr, Coordinator of Marketing, has been with the Dean's Office since 1995 and with UW since 1991.
Her main responsibilities to the college are:
- Photograph A&S events, personnel, or materials, meet with clients to discuss events or photograph options and settings, design and prepare layout of various digital image files for presentations at College functions.
- Assist the Businesses Manager in accounting procedures to include preparation and posting of requisitions, payment vouchers, field purchase orders, interdepartmental requests, travel vouchers, etc. help train support staff as needed in these areas. Backup for departments when accounting procedures need to be done, and the regular staff member is out.
- A&S office support to include: preparation of monthly UW Foundation Fund Reports for college departments, secretarial support for committees as needed, supervision of Work Study students, provide secretarial support for all office personnel as needed, coordinate front office tasks, reconcile P-cards, and assist departments as needed.
Roxanne Keeney, Business Manager, Executive joined the Dean's Office in August 2010.

UW A&S AdministrationAnn O'Grady, Coordinator of College Affairs, has been with the Dean's Office since 1990
and with UW since 1989.
Her main responsibilities to the college
are:
- Coordinate A&S reappointment, tenure, extended-term, and promotion procedures with faculty and academic professionals. Coordinate the T&P and Extended-Term committee.
- Manage the A&S department and faculty distribution lists and database.
- A&S web site and electronic committee voting.
UW A&S AdministrationJanice Romsa, Office Associate, joined the Dean's
Office in 1994.
Her main responsibilities to the college are:
- Manage
A&S donor stewardship program, including thank you letters; invitation
to A&S events; creation and publication of donor lists such as the Ben
Franklin Circle.
- Manage
the creation and publication of the Dean’s Holiday Card.
- Manage
A&S Outstanding Alumni and Former Faculty Awards process; coordinate
awards committee and selection of award winners.
- Coordinate
the A&S Outstanding Alumni and Former Faculty Awards Dinner.
- Serve
as College Coordinator for the Malcolm Wallop Conversations on Democracy
Fund and its events.
Diana Marie Waggener,EditorHer main responsibilities to the college are to:
- Develop, write for, edit, design, and supervise production of A&S
Report, the College of Arts and Sciences magazine for alumni, friends, and constituents; A&S You Like It, a newsletter for A&S faculty and staff; and the
A&S Student Orientation Guide, a booklet for incoming students.
- Create, write for, edit, and design A&S promotional materials and programs
- Serve as college liaison with University Communications and Marketing
Sue Woirhaye, Office Assistant,
Senior, joined the Dean's Office in November 2005.
Her main responsibilities to the college are:
- Receptionist
for the Dean's office, provide clerical support for two Associate
Deans
- Maintain the schedule for the A&S auditorium
- Manage the Course Action Request Forms (CARF)
- Support staff for the Scholarship Committee - Summer
Independent Summer Awards and International Education Steering Committee. Maintain inventory for office, scheduling for A&S rooms 118 and 219, manage monthly downloads for Development, process applications for scholarships and work study students, reconcile P-cards and assist Business
Manager with various forms.
