Jeff Lee -- 2004 Outstanding Alumnus

Bachelor of Arts - Theatre and Dance

 Well-known for mounting Disney’s Broadway production of The Lion King with director Julie Taymor, Jeff Lee’s theatrical career extends nearly 30 years. His experience includes work both on and off-Broadway, with regional and touring groups, in concert arenas, film, television, and video. Throughout his prolific career, Lee has donned many “hats,” including actor, singer, dancer, production manager, writer, director, and producer.

After graduating from Laramie High School, Lee became a student in the UW Department of Theatre and Dance. Lee has an extensive freelance career, and he has worked with numerous stars.

He served several years as an adjunct faculty member at the Yale School of Drama, worked with the University Glee Club of New York, and has offered his services to UW classes during his trips home to visit his family.
