Bachelor of Arts-1964-History

Justice Mike Golden earned a J.D. from the UW College of Law in 1967 and was editor-in-chief of the Land and Water Law Review in 1966-1967. He served as a captain in the Judge Advocate General's Corp of the United States Army between 1967 and 1971. He then went into private practice in Rawlins with the law firm of Brimmer, McPherson & Golden from 1971 to 1983. He moved to Casper in 1983 to join the law firm of Williams, Porter, Day & Neville where he served until his appointment to the Wyoming Supreme Court in 1988. Justice Golden received a LL.M. degree in judicial process from the University of Virginia in 1992. He served as chief justice of the Wyoming Supreme Court between 1994 and 1996 and was chair of the Children's Justice Project from 1999 to 2012, at which time he retired.
