Introduction

Information Technology provides SPSS free of charge to UW departments for installation on UW owned computers for academic teaching and research use only. Individuals can install the software either from the UW network or by checking out the CD from the Information Technology Center. There is no requirement for the computer to be connected to the network for the software to run, however if an individual wants to install SPSS from the network, it will need to be connect during the installation. To install SPSS from the UW network, request access through the IT Help Desk at 766-4357, option 1, and an email containing installation instructions will be sent once access is granted. To check out a CD from the Information Technology Front Desk, stop by during normal business hours. Call the Front Desk at 766-3686 for information on checking out the software and to verify that a copy is available.
