Important University business messages can potentially be sent to UWYO email lists and inadvertently get filtered to the Junk Email folder depending on a user's filter options. University of Wyoming (UW) mail gateways are not capable of changing the behavior of the Microsoft Outlook client and the way it treats messages once they are received in a user's Inbox, so it is up to the user to make sure they are not accidentally filtering out these messages. To avoid missing University related email messages, users should add the uwyo.edu domain to the Safe Senders List.
This document provides the steps necessary to add the uwyo.edu domain to the Microsoft Outlook Safe Senders List. The methods outlined can also be used to add other domains or individual email addresses to the Safe Senders List.
