Connect Your iPad or iPhone to the UW Network from Off-Campus
(Remote Access from iOS Mobile Devices)

Introduction

To connect to the University of Wyoming network from an iPhone or iPad from an off-campus network, users are required to connect via VPN (Virtual Private Network). To do this with Apple iPhone and iPad products you will need to download the JUNOS PULSE app from the Apple App Store. The following instructions are for configuring the JUNOS PULSE app to connect to the University of Wyoming Network. You can find the JUNOS PULSE app information on the iTunes App Store Junos Pulse page.

Procedure

  1. Open the Junos Pulse app from your home screen. Touch Configuration..

  2. Touch Add New Configuration.

  3. Configure the client to UW VPN, with the URL of  http://wyosecure.uwyo.edu. None of the other fields are required..

  4. Then touch connect.

  5. You will be prompted to enter your UW username and password. Enter your username and password and touch Sign in and you will be virtually connected to the UW network.

    To remote into your UW office computer from the iOS device you will need a remote desktop app from the Apple App Store. You can use the search criteria RDP from the App Store to find an app that will work with your device.
