Connect to Your UW Email Account or ResNet with an Android-Based Cell Phone

Note: These instructions are only for users who are on UW Exchange email. Users who have been migrated to Office 365 should see How to Configure an Android Device to Work with UW’s Office 365 Email System.

Procedure

1. Connect to ResNet
    
   1. Select the Settings icon.

   2. On the Settings screen select the Wi-Fi icon.

   3. On the Wi-Fi screen select UWresnet from the list of available networks.

   4. On the UWresnet screen enter the information as follows:
      
      EAP method: PEAP
      Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
      Identity: uwyo/your UWYO username
      Password: your UWYO password

   5. Select Connect.
       
2. Connect to your UW Email Account
    
   1. Select the Settings icon.

   2. On the Settings screen select the Accounts & sync icon.

   3. On the Accounts & sync screen select Add Account.
      (Image)
      
      
      
       
   4. On the Add an account screen select the Corporate icon.

   5. On the Account setup screen enter your UW email address and password and press Next.

   6. On the Account setup screen enter the following information:
      Domain\username: uwyo\username
      Password: your UWyo password
      Server: uwmail.uwyo.edu
      Make sure Use secure connection (SSL) is checked.

   7. Press Next. You should be connected and have access to your UW email account.
