Manually Install Available Microsoft Updates

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) is a tool for central management and distribution of critical Windows and Office patches as well as updates. See the WSUS FAQ for full details.

There are 2 methods for these updates to be installed on your computer. One is for you to follow the directions below and to install them manually when you see that new updates are available through the icon in step 1. The other is to wait until the dates below when the updates will be automatically installed on your computer and your computer will automatically be restarted, if necessary. Please note that with this method, open work could be lost.

Dates of automatic update installation and computer restart:

  • November 13, 2012
  • December 11, 2012
  • January 8, 2013
  • February 12, 2013
  • March 12, 2013
  • April 9, 2013
  • May 14, 2013
  • June 11, 2013
  • July 9, 2013
  • August 13, 2013
