Redirect Outlook Email to Another Email Account

Introduction

Some users may prefer to receive email messages sent to their UW account in a different personal email account. Email sent to your UW email account can be redirected to another email account by setting up a rule in Outlook. This can be accomplished by first logging into your UW email account on the UW Web Email web page at uwmail.uwyo.edu.

Forwarding email sent to an Office 365 mailbox

  1. At the UW Web Email web page log into the Office 365 account you wish to forward from.
     
  2. Click on the cog wheel and then Options, at top right.

  3. Under the section “shortcuts to other things you can do” click on Forward your email.

  4. Towards the middle of the screen, under Forwarding, enter the email address you want to forward to in the Forward my e-mail to: box. If you want to keep a copy of messages you have forwarded, check the box next to Keep a copy of forwarded messages in Outlook Web App.

  5. Click on Start Forwarding to begin forwarding your email.
     

Note: If you choose to keep a copy of forwarded messages, you may want to periodically log into your UW email and clear your inbox to avoid reaching your inbox size limit.
