Sound and Public Address (PA) Systems

For our purposes, we make a distinction between a public address (PA) system, used mainly for amplifying one or more spoken voices, and a sound system (SS) which includes components to improve the sound of amplified music - either prerecorded or live, and usually includes monitor speaker system for the performers.
