Your source for obtaining Copyright Clearances!

The Copy & Print Center offers copyright clearance services to help faculty and staff reproduce printed, copyrighted works in compliance with University policy.  We will draft and coordinate all permission letters, as well as initiate follow-up phone calls to expedite this process.

Who Pays the Royalty Fees?

Any royalties requested by the copyright owner or its agent will be included in the price of the course packet.  If the Copy & Print Center seeks and receives permission to reproduce printed materials on your behalf, we will also handle all fee transactions.

How long does a copyright search take?

Obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material takes 6 to 8 weeks, on average.  We encourage you to plan ahead and allow eight weeks for the Copy & Print Center to obtain the needed clearances.
