Biomedical Sciences Program

Financial Aid & Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistantships (GAs) are available on a competitive basis. Applicants should consult their prospective faculty advisor on GA availability and should be sure to indicate on their application if a GA is required for attendance.

GA packages include all tuition and mandatory fees, health insurance and a 9-month stipend of approximately $15,000. Summer financial support may be available from the University of Wyoming, the faculty advisor or alternative sources. Students are encouraged to explore various sources of external funding options for GAs and fellowships.

Please see Graduate Education - Graduate Assistantships for more information.

Graduate Assistantship Responsibilities

All Biomedical Science graduate students, including those with GAs, have responsibilities in research and teaching. The Biomedical Science program believes strongly that preparation for long-term competitive success in the professional workforce requires high-level communication, organization and project management skills. Authentic discovery experiences and meaningful teaching contribute to these competencies.  Applicants are encouraged to discuss specific responsibilities with their faculty advisor.
