Course Objectives:

1. -To explore a fascinating, beautiful new world of mathematics.
   

2. -To learn the fundamental properties of the basic algebraic structures (rings, fields, groups) from both a concrete and abstract point of view.
   

3. -To develop the ability to think abstractly, and to clearly explain
   

difficult ideas and thoughts.
