Dan Adams

As a student at the University of Wyoming College of Business I have benefited from the services offered by the Johnson Career Center (JCC) on many occasions. Director Steve Farkas has successfully guided me through the processes of career planning and preparation.
I first visited the JCC early in my junior year for resume review. Director Farkas helped me develop a polished and professional resume. As my junior year progressed I sought advising from the JCC on securing a summer internship in corporate business. Director Farkas helped me locate and apply for several opportunities. Through his guidance I was able to secure a paid internship with The Home Depot, at the corporate headquarters in Atlanta,Georgia.
As I entered my senior year and began searching for post-undergraduate career opportunities I again sought advising from the JCC. Director Farkas helped me prepare for the on-campus career fair and target companies which suited my interests. As a result of these preparations, I secured interviews with two potential employers. Prior to interviewing,Director Farkas again provided advice and preparation assistance. As a result of my efforts and guidance from the JCC I have secured a post-undergraduate position with the Union Pacific in Omaha, Nebraska.
The career advising I have received from the JCC and Director Farkas has been incredibly valuable. I frequently encourage other students to take advantage of services available in the JCC.The Johnson Career Center and Director Steve Farkas are an indispensable part of the College of Business.
