The Good Mule Project

The Good Mule Project (TGMP) is a student-led initiative to increase awareness of social and environmental justice issues, to encourage civic literacy and action, and to advance cross-cultural understanding at the University of Wyoming. Our objective is to energize UW students to find solutions to local and global problems by providing them with the knowledge, training, and support needed to take an active role in shaping the world around them.

We accomplish this by hosting an annual Good Mule Student Conference that brings together UW students united in their passion to improve their communities. Participants spend two days exploring the idea of personal social responsibility, learning effective organizing strategies, and gaining exposure to human rights and environmental issues. The conference prepares students to become skilled and knowledgeable agents of change.

Secondly, our website," The Good Mule" serves to centralize social justice, environmental sustainability, and diversity efforts at UW. Through greater visibility of these causes, we aim to build greater support for these endeavors. Furthermore, the website is designed to incite dialogue around issues pertaining to our core issue areas. To attain our goal of inspiring action, each feature of the website comes equipped with suggestions on how to get involved in these matters.

Lastly, the Good Mule Project is a recognized student organization (RSO) at the University of Wyoming. RSO members oversee the project's operations and organize service projects.
