Explanation of Maps

Explanation of weed maps:

Weed and Pest Districts in Wyoming were asked to fill out a survey about the Wyoming Designated Noxious Weeds and the County Declared Weeds. The purpose of the survey was to establish a representation of the current "weed" situation in Wyoming and provide management information to interested land managers and agencies.

*** SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS AND NOTES ***

Acreage was rounded UP to the nearest acre.

Acreage estimates are subject to the Weed and Pest District Member who addressed the survey.

Some plant species that are DECLARED in some counties are native plants . because of that, some survey takers entered a value of "0" acres of infestation because they do not consider the occurrence of that plant to be an "infestation".

If the plant was "UNKNOWN" to occur in a county, the acreage was counted as "0" . this does not necessarily mean that the plant does not occur in the county.
