Although which browser students may use is entirely up to self preference, to properly view the CEAS web site we recommend to use one of the three following browsers:

1. Internet Explorer
   • Internet Explorer comes default on all Windows machines. Keep your browser updated by using Windows Update.
    
2. Mozilla Firefox
3. Google Chrome

The CEAS web site also uses various plugins to provide additional content. As long as you keep your browser updated, when you come across content that require a specific plugin that you are missing, your browser will automatically direct you where to download the plugins necessary to view or run the content.

Here are list of some common plugins used on our web site:

• Adobe Reader
  • Our most common plugin, used to view PDF documents that are uploaded by many professors to share handouts and other paperwork with students.
   
• Java Runtime Environment
  • For use with the CEAS Remote Desktop Farm, which allows a student to remotely connect to an ESIG computer to provide access to engineering software when away from the school.
   
• Microsoft Silverlight
  • This plugin allows the student to use WyoCast, allowing students to view past recorded lectures for specific classes.
