Background:
My research interests include signal processing, image processing and analysis, pattern recognition, and sonar/radar systems. My current research involves the evaluation of algorithms for the detection of flame in video sequences. I have worked at Lockheed Martin in Aurora, CO and in the Advanced Technology Laboratory at The Applied Research Laboratories: University of Texas in Austin, TX. My primary responsibility in both of these positions was performance analysis and algorithm development for various remote sensing systems such as forward looking sonars. Primarily this involved the development of both automated and interactive data analysis software. I belong to both IEEE and Tau Beta Pi.

In addition to teaching (primarily in the ES program) I also serve as the College's contact for companies seeking to recruit our students, as well as helping students with their job searches. My duties in this capacity include facilitating company visits to the College, doing site visits to companies to better understand their business needs, and reviewing job search documents such as resumes and cover letters for students.
