Electrical Engineering Major Awarded National Tau Beta Pi Scholarship
April 27, 2011 — Cameron Mock, from Gillette, WY, majoring in electrical engineering at the University of Wyoming, was recently awarded a National Tau Beta Pi Association Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 for Academic Year 2011-12. Mock will be a senior next year with plans to graduate from UW in May 2012. Tau Beta Pi Scholarships are awarded to junior members on a competitive basis of high scholarship, campus leadership and service, and promise of future contributions to the engineering profession.
Cameron is a member of Tau Beta Pi Wyoming student chapter, a College
Student Ambassador, student leader for UW Navigators, past IEEE
Vice-President and a freshmen orientation class peer assistant.
Tau Beta Pi is the world's largest engineering society. It is the
nation's second-oldest honor society, founded at Lehigh University in
1885 to recognize students of distinguished scholarship and exemplary
character.
