Tau Beta Pi Outstanding Member - Jennifer Catchpole
May 27, 2011 — Jennifer is pursuing an M.S. degree in electrical engineering after
receiving her undergraduate degree in computer engineering. Her research
area is in multi-core performance investigations. Last summer she served
as an intern for Union Wireless and had the opportunity to assist in
UMTS overlay and database expansion projects. Jennifer is involved in
many campus activities including Tau Beta Pi, IEEE, Joint Engineering
Council, and the UWEFE. She is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi and
the Wyoming Engineering Society and currently serves as Tau Beta Pi
Vice President of Projects and has served as the awards committee chair in
the past. Jennifer was selected as the 2010 Wyoming Engineering Society
Outstanding Student Engineer of the Year and a 2009 NCMR scholar.
Jennifer’s off-campus activities keep her active in the English Springer Spaniel Rescue and National
Brittany Rescue as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters. In her spare time she can be found participating
in agility events with her Springer Spaniels, spending time in the mountains, playing the saxophone,
and cooking.
