College of Engineering Seeks Outreach Ambassadors

The CEAS is seeking ambassadors for outreach efforts this year.

The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) is seeking bright and enthusiastic ambassadors for its many outreach efforts aimed at students in kindergarten through high school in Wyoming.

All undergraduate and graduate students in the CEAS at the University of Wyoming can apply to be an ambassador to support outreach programs in the state. The CEAS is offering a competitive scholarship award of $1,000 for the 2016-2017 academic year. Applicants should be excited to share their passion for engineering and applied science with the community.

Ambassador responsibilities include:

  • Engage in hands-on engineering activities with K-12 students.
  • Travel to outreach locations across the state.
  • Participate in at least three outreach events per semester.
  • Attend monthly ambassador meetings.

To apply, submit a curriculum vitae and one-page essay to Program Coordinator Teddi Hofmann ( by Sept. 19. The essay should include the following items:

  • Why you are interested in becoming an outreach ambassador;
  • What skills will you bring to the ambassador team;
  • Details about your academic background.
