NSBE Hosts Campus Quiz Competition
The student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers hopes to start an annual tradition of testing the knowledge of their fellow student organizations at the University of Wyoming.
Two teams made up of four members competed in the debut quiz competition among registered student organizations (RSO) on Feb. 28.
“The event was suggested by one of our members,” says Zacchaeus Oni, the events coordinator of the NSBE. “The main goal was to raise awareness of our organization and to create a relationship with other engineering RSOs and for us to just have some fun.”
The competition featured the teams answering a variety of questions from the categories like mathematics, chemistry and physics.
“This was the first competition of this kind to be organized in a long time, which we aim to be an annual event at the university,” says Bismarck Echegile, the president of NSBE. “This competition will be a great avenue for learning, interaction and unity amongst RSOs.”
