
College of Engineering Represented At State Convention

The Wyoming Engineering Society (WES) will host its 98th annual convention Feb. 8-9 in Laramie, Wyo., at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.
Attendees from the University of Wyoming’s College of Engineering and Applied Science include Dean Michael Pishko, Associate Dean Steve Barrett, Associate Director of Career Services Ann Jones, CEAS Coordinator of Alumni and Government Relations Baillie Miller, Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Emeritus David Whitman, Civil and Architectural Engineering Department Head Tony Denzer, Associate Academic Professional Lecturer Ryan Kobbe, Assistant Lecturer Mark Rehwaldt and Mechanical Engineering Associate Lecturer Kevin Kilty. The CEAS will host a luncheon for all attendees and will have a table in the exhibition hall.
Many topics critical to the engineering industry will be discussed in roundtable forums. Technical sessions will be offered for a range of topics, including hydraulics, cybersecurity, drones, energy conversion and microgravity.
There will also be an exhibits area to provide convention attendees with a range of opportunities to network with other professionals and learn about new products and technologies. The exhibits area will be open from noon Thursday through 4 p.m. Friday. The event will conclude with the annual awards banquet from 7-9 p.m. Friday.
