I am a 2nd year in the Petroleum Engineering Program and pursuing a minor in International Engineering. I am a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. I enjoy outdoor activities such as kayaking especially out in the ocean. But, I also enjoy puzzles and games indoors. I'm from Webster, FL which is just East of Orlando which is where I enjoy eating different foods from cultures around the world.

Hi, I'm Allison! I am in my first year as a graduate student and am studying electrical engineering. I received my bachelors in electrical engineering here at UW in May 2021. I am originally from Ridgecrest, CA but now call Laramie my home. I have been involved with Engineers Without Borders and Society of Women Engineers. I even got to travel to Guatemala in January 2019 with EWB! Fun fact: I used to march in the Western Thunder Marching Band right here at UW! I am so excited to be an ambassador for a second year! Go Pokes!!

    Meghan Higgins

Hi my name is Meghan Higgins! I am majoring in Civil Engineering with minors in mathematics and ENR (Environment and Natural Resources). My hometown is Cheyenne, Wyoming and this is my third year at UW. Some of the RSOs I am part of are Engineers Without Borders, Society of Women Engineers, Tau Beta Pi, HerCampus, and GIVE (Guaranteed International Volunteer Excursions). In my free time, I love to do anything outdoors including hiking, backpacking, kayaking, gardening, and playing frisbee golf. When I am inside, I love to sew, scrapbook, and take care of my house plants!

Hello! I am a senior in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Sustainability. My current plans include going into the renewable energy field in hopes of working on wind energy or carbon capture technology. I am currently involved in university groups including The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Aerospace Research Group. A fun fact about me is that I am half Brazilian and speak Portuguese. In my free time I read fantasy novels and play violin.

Hello! I am currently a mechanical engineering student with a minor in honors at UW. I am from Erie Colorado and I enjoy hiking, backpacking and playing guitar. This last summer I was a ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. As a ranger, I would take out crews into the wilderness and teach them outdoor skills and camping techniques.

    Julia Burrows

    Julia Burrows

I am from Casper, Wy and a sophomore studying Chemical Engineering and Pre-Pharmacy with Honors. My hopes are to pursue a career in pharmaceutical engineering after I graduate. Outside of my academic career, however, I am a part of the Chi Omega Sorority and Club Rugby team at the University of Wyoming. I also love to run and spend time outside.

    Brock LaBonde

    Brock LaBonde

Hello! My name is Brock LaBonde, and I am sophomore studying electrical engineering. I was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado and in my free time I enjoy skiing, camping, hunting, fishing, and most other outdoor activities. In my time at the University of Wyoming my favorite thing that I have found is that the other students and staff here are extremely friendly and willing to help out with any difficulties or questions that I may have.

I am a Junior majoring in Electrical Engineering, and I am from the small town of Brush, Colorado where my High School’s mascot was the Beetdiggers. My involvement in University of Wyoming organizations include WyoGold Leadership Council, Wyoming Navigators, intramural flag football and basketball, and The Engineering Summer Program. As a trumpet player I also participate in the Community band and Basketball pep band when my schedule allows.

    Beckham Carver

    Beckham Carver

I'm a Trustees scholar set to graduate in 2024, hopefully with two degrees. I grew up in Evanston, WY and love soccer -I was named after David Beckham after all- and skiing. In fact, during my freshman year since my schooling was online I decided to build a van into a camper and I did school full time skiing everyday around the nation! I'm currently working towards a career in Data Science and have a passion for tinkering with electronics.

    Nicholas Zalewski

    Nicholas Zalewski

I am Nicholas Zalewski, a Freshman studying Mechanical Engineering. I am from Highlands Ranch Colorado, about 20 minutes South West of Denver. I ride mountain bikes at Crested Butte, and Trestle Bike Park (Winter Park). I am really excited to get future students interested in the STEM fields, because we could always use more engineers! Fun Facts: I love cars, and I am looking to engine swap my Mercedes-Benz C class back home. I am really interested in black holes, and the associated sciences, and I am looking to get an Astrophysics minor while I am up here. I also want to build a fully mechanical eye, but don’t even get me started on the complications of optics!
