Educator joins Campbell County Cooperative Extension Service office

Lindsay Taylor has joined the University of Wyoming Cooperative Extension Service (UW CES) office in Gillette.

Taylor is the assistant UW CES educator for profitable and sustainable agriculture with emphasis on livestock system.

"Lindsay understands agriculture and ranching and brings that experience plus a strong educational background to this position" said Susan James, federal relations and staff development coordinator for CES.

Taylor, who is based in Campbell County, will provide educational programs for Crook, Weston, and Campbell counties.

Taylor graduated in May from Colorado State University with a master's degree in integrated resource management. She has a bachelor's degree in animal science from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.

Taylor was raised on an alfalfa operation near Lucerne Valley, Calif., and has diverse experience with cattle, sheep, dairy, and swine, and was a 4-H member.

As part of her undergraduate work at Cal Poly, Taylor designed and implemented a research study focused on developing livestock showmanship ethics training for 4-H clubs.
