The Griffith Speaker Series:

William B. (Bill) Griffith, originally from Lovell, was a 1940 graduate of UW’s College of Commerce and Industry (now the College of Business). He received a master’s degree in forensic science from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and served 31 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The William B. Griffith endowment was established in 1992. Each year the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology invites a nationally recognized scholar or practitioner in the field of criminal justice to speak to students.

Watch or listen to Dr. Rashawn Ray's 2020 Griffith Lecture:

The Pursuit of Racial Equity in Policing: Examining the Use of Force, Accountability, and Reform
