ECHO Project/WyCEL for Superintendents

The ECHO project will meet every Tuesday at 10:00 am with superintendents starting in January 2016. Each 90-minute session will start with a 30-minute didactic training module taught by a regional, state or national expert.  Following Q and A there will be two case based scenarios brought forth by superintendents. The multi-disciplinary team of experts will offer suggestions and solutions. Follow up contacts will be made after the session to connect the superintendent with state and national resources to help.  There is a formal evaluation project that will evaluate the outcomes. The cost is covered by SBE and WDE and there is no cost to superintendents to participate.  The contact for ECHO is Dr. Mark Stock at the University of Wyoming. Wyoming School Board's Association key work of schools

WSBA offers training on best practice for school board governance.  Districts with multiple schools who “do not meet expectations” may find the training helpful in identifying how the school board role can support school improvement.  The cost is paid for by the school district and the contact is Brian Farmer at 1-307-634-1112.

WASA/WDE Professional Learning Community Orientation

There will be 14 regional training sessions open to all educators at designated locations throughout the 2015-2016 school year. These dynamic presentations from Dr. Anthony Muhammad are free to participants. The costs are covered by state funds provided by the State Board of Education. The contact for these sessions is TBD.
