ARDEN WHITE EXCELLENCE AWARD

For over 30 years, Arden White served as a Counselor Education professor. He was (and continues to be) beloved by the students whose lives he touched. Upon his retirement, his former students created the Arden White Student Excellence Fund. Dozens of Counselor Education alumni donated thousands of dollars to create this fund in honor of Dr. White. As per his instructions, the award is not given based on financial need, but for students to use for professional development.

Each year the Arden White Excellence Committee awards one or two stipends ranging from $300 to $600. In the past few years, we have awarded funding for conference registration fees, research expenses, and purchasing professional books or memberships. Other creative ideas that would foster professional development are welcome and encouraged.

To apply please complete the Arden White Excellence Award Application. Your completed application must reach the Department of Counselor Education by the 1st of February.
