Welcomes Applications for
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position
 
The University of Wyoming is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountain west, in Laramie, a town of about 28,000 people. The location is ideal for a wide range of outdoor sports ranging from skiing and snowshoeing in the winter to camping, fishing, rock climbing, and cycling in the summer. The community provides both the milieu of the University with approximately 13,000 students and a distinctive identity as an important city in a frontier state. The larger cities of Colorado's Front Range are within 1 - 3 hours driving distance.
Tenure-Track Position
Seeking a dynamic counseling generalist who is committed to excellence in teaching, supervision, research/publications, and service. Evidence of scholarly production, strong clinical/supervision preparation and experience preferred. Faculty expectations include collegiality, ability to work within teams, and mentoring of master's and doctoral students. License eligibility in the State of Wyoming is required. Successful applicants must have an earned doctorate in Counselor Education (CACREP graduate) by the start date, August 17, 2010. Salary is competitive and commensurate with academic qualifications and experience. The College of Education is strongly committed to attracting a diverse pool of faculty where cultural experiences and competencies are valued. 
 
The CACREP accredited Counseling Programs at the University of Wyoming include Master's degrees in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as the Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Our in-house Counseling Clinic is a state-of-the-art training facility with totally digitized equipment providing opportunities for live supervision.
