Dec. 6, 2004 -- A program that offers a master's degree
in counselor education is being offered through the University of Wyoming/Casper
College Center.
The Counselor Education Department-sponsored program is designed for individuals
seeking a master's degree in counseling, but who are unable to participate
in the program on the Laramie campus. Application deadline is Feb. 18.

Students in the program attend intensive weekend courses during a three-year period beginning in Fall 2005 and ending in Spring 2008. Most classes meet on Friday evenings and all day Saturdays in Casper. Students typically participate in two or three courses each semester.
Students in the program can earn an M.S. degree in school counseling, higher education, or community counseling with specializations available in marriage and family counseling and/or addictions, with preparation focusing on clinical skills and cognitive interdisciplinary learning.
