UPDATE

Our Grad Fair originally scheduled for April 2nd and 3rd has been canceled. No changes have been made to our commencement ceremonies on May 16th, but the situation is being continuously assessed. If any changes are made, you will receive more information at your UW email.

DAY OF COMMENCEMENT

Before Commencement

You may pick up your cap & gown at Senate Chambers, from  April 2-3rd in Wyoming Union room 221.

Arrival

Students should arrive at the Memorial Fieldhouse no later than   1 hour before the procession begins.  When you enter the Fieldhouse, proceed to the appropriate check-in table to receive your name card and then gather with your college.  Undergraduates will gather by their department.  Preparation for line-up and a photograph will follow shortly thereafter.   The purpose of arriving early is to obtain your name card, line up with your college/major department, and get your commencement portrait taken before the procession.

Please arrive at these following times. 

7:30 AM Undergraduate students  from the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources

11:15 PM Graduate students  from all colleges and schools

2:30 PM Undergraduate students  from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Business, School of Energy Resources, College of Engineering and Applied Science, College of Health Sciences

Important note: If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may not be able to participate in the ceremony. Once graduates have had their photograph taken, the order of the line cannot change. You must be dressed in your regalia when you arrive. Late graduates may be turned away. Please plan accordingly.

 

Procession & Ceremony

Students will line up for the procession and portraits will be taken as they proceed to the Arena-Auditorium. 

Processions will begin at the following times.

8:30 AM Undergraduate students  from the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Education, Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources

12:15 PM Graduate students  from all colleges and schools

3:30 PM Undergraduate students  from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, College of Business, School of Energy Resources, College of Engineering and Applied Science, College of Health Sciences

More Questions or Missed Deadline?

If you missed our deadline for the commencement survey and the Anticipated Graduation Date form, you can still participate! However, we cannot guarantee that your name will be printed in the program and you will not have a pre-printed name card. First thing—submit those items as soon as possible and contact the Registrar’s Office at 307-766-5729 if you have questions. Second, you’ll want to contact your college dean’s office to let them know that you are planning to participate. If you missed our cap & gown deadline, please contact the University Store (307-766-3264) as soon as possible. The University Store has a limited number of surplus gowns, but they cannot guarantee your size or the correct tassel color. You will be charged a $25.00 late fee in addition to the rental fee.
