During the recent Conference of College Composition and Communication in San Francisco, UW Composition Director Mary P. Sheridan-Rabideau's book, Girls, Feminism, and Grassroots Literacies, won the 2009 Book of the Year Award from Steve Park's Reflections: A Journal of Writing, Service-Learning, and Community Literacy. Chosen by a committee of composition scholars, the book was picked because of its contribution to and scholarship on civic engagement. Congratulations, Mary P!
