Apply On line for the Creative Writing M.F.A. ProgramWe are accepting applications for Fall '10 now through Jan. 15, 2010.Step 1Formal application to UW Admissions. Graduate Student Application Please note that the University of Wyoming recommends you have a GRE combined score of 900 on the quantitative and verbal parts of the general exam and a 3.0 grade point average prior to acceptance for admission. The Graduate School application is valid for one year. The University of Wyoming requires a $50 application fee. Step 2Transcripts from all previous college programs must be provided. Official transcripts should be sent directly from the schools you attended to the admissions office. UW Admissions Step 3Official GRE scores must be sent to Admissions. Our school code is 4855. Note: if you have not already taken the exam, you should plan to take the test by December to complete the application process in a timely manner. Step 4Three letters of recommendation must be provided. Complete the top portion of the recommendation form and give to your reference. Then have your reference email the form with their letter directly to cw@uwyo.edu or mail them to the MFA office. The typed name of the person completing the form may be used in place of a signature. MFA Program Step 5Submit the following materials to cw@uwyo.edu .
Step 6TOEFL test scores must be provided (for applicants from non-English speaking countries). A minimum score of 540 on the written exam, 207 on the computerized exam, or 76 on the Internet-based test (TOEFL iBT) is required for full admission. OR Official IELTS scores sent to the Graduate School. A minimum score of 6.0 is required for full admission. Class sizes are limited and the admission process is competitive.
