Students: If your class is using WyoCourses (by Canvas), eCompanion, or Course Studio as an online supplement, your instructor will have told you which. Choose one set of instructions below, accordingly.
For more information, see the WyoCourses Student Support page.
If your instructor has requested an eCompanion shell to enhance a classroom course, you are automatically (a) given an eCompanion/OnlineUW account, and (b) enrolled in your eCompanion course shell in conjunction with your official UW registration. Upon enrollment in the eCompanion course site, you receive an automatically-generated e-mail letter explaining how to access your eCompanion course. Click e-mail letter to view a copy of the letter.
Your User ID is your UWYO domain (WyoWeb) user name, but your password may be different. At any time, you can retrieve your password through the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page.
Your eCompanion/OnlineUW e-mail address is your official UW e-mail address; this cannot be changed. However, you can forward your UW e-mail to some other e-address if you wish. See the UW IT pages for help.
* Your eCompanion/OnlineUW user account is separate from your WyoWeb (UWYO domain) account. As of December 21, 2011, however, the user ID will be the same; your user ID for eCollege/eCompanion will be your UWYO domain user name, the part of your e-mail address up to the '@'. For example, if your UW e-mail address is "email@example.com," your login ID for eCompanion will be "jdoe" (rather than your W-number). Your password, course enrollments, and other data will NOT be affected.
If your instructor tells you that your course materials are in Course Studio (or, perhaps, just "in WyoWeb"),

In general, please allow adequate time and resources for the acquisition and use of online course materials, which are provided as a supplemental service to you.
