For help with course websites, please call 766-HELP or e-mail

In addition to our main services, supporting course websites and teaching technology workshops, ECTL Instructional Design and Technology can help UW instructors select and apply myriad computing technologies for teaching. Some examples are listed below:

Use our equipment to scan pictures, photos, and slides to image files, and to scan text to PDF documents or text files.

Prepare presentations, using delivery and hosting applications such as PowerPoint, Prezi, and Keynote.

Voice Input and Audio Editing

Use voice-recognition software (such as Dragon) to create transcripts from real-time or stored audio files and to perform rudimentary tasks with audio editors. (Instructional Media can show you more, including video recording and editing.)

Web Conferencing (Conversations)

Every WyoCourses course includes a Web Conferencing feature called Big Blue Button. (Inside your course websites, this feature is called Conversations.) Big Blue Button allows teachers and students to host and participate in web conferences.

Authoring and Retrieval of Online Quizzes

Using a product called Respondus, create, upload, and retrieve online quizzes and tests. We can show you how to use install and use Respondus on your computer or access it here in the lab.
