ODEI COVID-19 Community Check-in Resources

As COVID-19 continues to play an ever-present role in our lives during 2020, it is important that we continue to stay connected with our campus colleagues and friends. The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has hosted two community check-ins to keep these connections happening. During these sessions we have begun to collect a number of resources to be made available to the campus community during this time.

The American Heritage Center’s COVID-19 Collecting Project is aimed to capture the voices of our community and how this pandemic is impacting them.  The AHC has a survey available for people to submit their observations and narratives. They are also accepting other creative contributions to include in the collection’s archive, and encouraging faculty, staff, administrators, and the university community to participate in projects or dialogs that could potentially be added to the archive.  There is a link to more information on the American Heritage Center webpage, https://www.uwyo.edu/ahc/. Following is the link to the press release about this project: https://www.uwyo.edu/ahc/covid-19-collecting.html. The AHC has also created a blog post (https://ahcwyo.org/2020/04/20/archive-your-Wyoming-coronavirus-story-with-the-American-heritage-center/) that details more information about the project.

Human Resources offers the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and LinkedIn Learning professional development trainings. Both services are available to university faculty and staff. Additionally, if you have questions regarding Reasonable Accommodations reach out to Jesse Begin, manager, employee relations and development, Office of Human Resources at jbegin@uwyo.edu.

Human Resources also provided us with their October 2019 Health Brief outlining Cigna Telehealth services and free programs such as Omada fitness and weight loss program to support our community’s health during this time.
