College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS)

The University of Wyoming's College of Engineering and Applied Science provides excellent contemporary programs of education, research, and service in chosen fields of engineering, computer science and atmospheric science. The college emphasizes connectivity with society, an attitude of lifelong learning, and provides its graduates with the essential problem-solving and collaborative skills essential for career development. It seeks to provide access to a comprehensive, research-driven education experience that emphasizes intellectual growth and rigor, promotes teamwork and connectivity of expertise, and leads to the graduation of professionals well prepared to succeed in local and international scopes of endeavor.

The college is working to increase the national visibility and appeal of its programs, especially to students in Wyoming and beyond who commonly are under-represented in engineering and computer science fields. Activities in this regard include engaging the college with schools and community college students and with other universities around the U.S. This effort aims at increasing the recruitment and graduation rate of an enlarged, talented, and diverse student population at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
