Early Alert Program

The Early Alert program is a service in the Dean of Students office and is a process of placing "at-risk" students in contact with appropriate resources to help them achieve success at UW. An "at-risk" student refers to a student who is exhibiting unique difficulties, i.e. poor class attendance, behavior problems or change, or poor grades. 

A member of The Dean of Students office staff contacts the student and schedules an appointment to identify problems and assist the student with identifying services and resources to help her/his individual situation. Instructors are encouraged to contact the Dean of Students Office if they believe any of their students may benefit from the Early Alert program
