Student Welfare

Student Welfare

College can be difficult, so the Dean of Students Office provides several support options for students who are struggling while in school.

Case Management

Students who would benefit from regular meetings with a UW employee can schedule time to talk to the Student Welfare Coordinator, and develop a support plan for the semester. Find out more about the Student Welfare Coordinator.

Anyone who is concerned about the wellbeing or welfare of a UW student can ask the Dean of Students Office to proactively reach out to the student. Use our UWyo Cares Report Form to provide information about who needs our help, and why the help is needed.

Students who are pregnant, have a pregnany-related condition, or are new parents may be eligible for additional academic support. Pregnancy related conditions include pregnancy, childbirth, false pregnancy, miscarriage, termination of a pregnancy, conditions arising in connection with pregnancy, and recovery from any of the listed conditions.
