Preparing for Effective Leadership

As a part of the Department of Professional Studies: Adult Learning, Leadership, Research, Counseling, and Instructional Technology, Educational Leadership offers courses and degree programs designed to help students learn and apply the leadership skills necessary for effective leadership in today's K-12 schools and beyond. In addition to the Educational Leadership programs we also house Educational Research  which offers graduate courses in research methods, statistics, and measurement in support of graduate degree programs across the College of Education. Our programs are guided by our mission to develop effective educational leaders and researchers.

We offer four programs: a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Educational Leadership, a Principal Endorsement Certificate Program (for those who have a Master's degree), and a two doctoral degrees, Doctor of Education (EdD) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), both with an interest area in Educational Leadership.
