Master’s Degree: EDAD 5060 Capstone in Educational Leadership

This course is designed to review program content and assist the student in the creation of the master’s students’ final program project, which will be used as the written demonstration of mastery of the course outcomes as well as meeting the ELCC standards.

Capstone Project Description

Develop a model of best practice that will communicate to the reader a knowledge base and an approach to use in addressing the topic. The paper will also align with the ELCC Standards and reflect current research/literature on the topic as well as how the model connects with the research. The format of this paper will be similar to a traditional research paper: introduction, literature review, model, and discussion.

General requirements for the project are:

  1. Your project design (one page proposal) must be approved by the instructor of the capstone course and your committee chair.
  2. Address all ELCC standards, 1-6, in your paper.
  3. You must write and format your paper using APA style guidelines.
  4. Your paper should be no longer than 25 pages without the title page, references, or appendices.
  5. The entire project should be completed during the capstone course.

The final project is a scholarly work and meets the Graduate School's requirements for a Plan B project.
