Call for College Ambassador Applicants

The University of Wyoming’s College of Education Ambassadors serve as leaders, role models, and supporters of the College of Education to promote a positive public image. As representatives, they work with alumni, current students, faculty, prospective students, and guests.
Students selected as ambassadors have excellent opportunities to further develop personal, social communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities of College Ambassadors

College of Education Ambassadors need to be willing to serve for the fall and spring semester, to dedicate 1-2 hours a week, and to participate in the following activities:

  • Act as a liaison between students, prospective students, alumni, and distinguished guests of the university
  • Members are expected to attend all meeting
  • Attend and participate in a minimum of 4 outside events beyond meetings

Desired Qualities of College Ambassadors

College of Education Ambassadors should possess the following qualities: commitment to the College's development and improvement; enthusiasm for and pride in the College; self-direction and high level of motivation; strong communication skills, and strong personal and social skills. In addition, they should be fulltime undergraduate students enrolled in any academic major in the College of Education, have completed at least one semester (15 credit hours) in the College, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Application Process

Download and complete an application. A recommendation signature from a College of Education Faculty member is required. The faculty advisor will contact qualifying applicants to schedule and interview as applications are turned in.
