Transcript Evaluation

Transcript Evaluation

Transcript evaluation requests can be made for students seeking a bachelor’s degree in education (first-time undergraduate or second bachelor’s students).

If a student is interested in the graduate certificate program a transcript evaluation is not necessary. Please see the graduate certificate curriculum requirements for additional course information.

  • Send electronic letter of intent indicating the program(s) of interest to Edquest@uwyo.edu
  • Provide additional contact information.
  • Include officialtranscripts - or photocopies of both sides - from all institutions of higher education attended*. These institutions must be regionally accredited.
    • Transcripts must be legible.
    • Education coursescompleted more than ten years ago from any institution cannot be accepted. Credit for content courses may be applicable beyond the 10 year limit.
  • Provide syllabi for courses in addition to transcripts.
    • If syllabi are not available, please provide course descriptions.

Transcript evaluations will be completed in 10 – 15 working days.

During peak times (Beginning of the semester, Advising Week, Orientations, etc.) there may be delays in evaluating your transcript(s) due to high traffic in our office. We will complete your evaluation in the order it is received.

Walk-in requests for transcript evaluations cannot be completed that day.

*UW graduates and former UW students

  • Submit a written request for transcript evaluation as described above.
  • Transcripts from any institution(s) attended after attending UW must accompany the request.
  • UW Transcripts are available to the TPAO and need not be sent.
