Application Checklist
To apply to the University of Wyoming, Electrical Engineering graduate program, the following documents must be submitted in the University's online application system at: http://www.uwyo.edu/admissions/graduate/application.html and received by the department. In addition, payment of a $50.00 application fee is required.
- A statement of purpose (please include areas of interest, as well as if you are looking for an assistantship or would be self supporting)
- Applicants will be asked to provide the names of 3 recommenders in the online application system, the recommenders will then be sent further instructions regarding how to submit recommendations
- Copy of GRE scores (minimum percentiles of 40% on verbal and 65% on quantitative parts
- Copy of TOEFL scores, required of all international applicants (minimum of 550 on the written exam or 79 on the internet-based test, with a minimum score of 58/23 on the listening part); IELTS scores are also accepted (minimum of 6.5 required).
- Copy of transcripts from all colleges and universities (minimum GPA 3.0); international students must submit individual semester transcripts, consolidated transcripts will not be accepted
For Fall admission, the deadline to submit application materials is December 31st of the previous year.
For Spring admission, the deadline to submit application materials is June 30th of the previous year. After these dates, applications will continue to be accepted as long as openings remain.
Once your application is complete, we will be able to proceed with our review process.
If you are accepted into the program, original copies of GRE scores, TOEFL scores, and all transcripts must be submitted to the Admissions Office.
Warning: Official acceptance will be given by the University upon the completion of the application.
