Isiah Dale

Graduate Student

Isiah was born and raised in the Imperial Valley; a southern California county close to the border of Mexico. After he studied physical therapy at a community college in central California, he transferred to San Francisco State University where he began majoring in English Literature and earned a BA in English Literature. It is here where Isiah first began publishing essays and learned what research interested him. That is, African American literature and modernist literature. More specifically, he is interested in seeing how fatherhood and masculinity is represented in the two distinctive fields. Moreover, his goal is to obtain a Ph. D. in literature and teach at a university. Some hobbies Isiah enjoys are: writing, reading, watching films, and playing as well as watching sports.
